Mercantile Logistics

When we designed and programmed the website for Mercantile Logistics & International Trade, a boutique customs brokerage and trade compliance firm in Henderson, Nevada, the challenge was selling judgment rather than scale. MLIT’s advantage isn’t a platform or a national footprint; it’s a licensed broker who answers the phone, has real relationships at CBP, and works the refund programs most brokers won’t touch. That kind of value is invisible on a website unless you make it specific. And importers usually arrive mid-problem (a detained shipment, an ACE registration stuck in limbo, an audit they aren’t ready for), with no patience for the usual full-service-trade-partner language.

So the site is built around situations instead of a service menu. The hero, “Experienced Customs Guidance When You Need It,” opens straight into a CTA that says “Tell Us Your Situation,” and the four blocks below it name the moments people actually show up in: new to importing, waiting weeks on an answer, compliance scattered across three vendors, referred by an attorney. Credibility comes from numbers rather than adjectives: fewer than ten brokers nationally pursue small drawback claims, over $10 million recovered in CAPE refunds, an ACE portal set up in days after a client spent eight months stalled. The founder’s story does the rest of the work, explaining why someone earns a master’s in law with no intention of practicing. Short, declarative section headers (“We answer. We analyze. We act.”) keep the pace, and an Insights section answers the questions importers are already searching. Every path leads to the same conversation.
