Challenge

The Customs Brokers & Intl Freight Forwarders Association of Washington State required a knowledgeable and charismatic speaker to attract members to its luncheon.

Solution

A luncheon meeting in Seattle in May, 2013, was the scene of Scott’s continuing education of local Associations on the importance of social media for logistics companies.

The audience was filled with representatives from companies large and small and was one of the most successful turnouts they had for an event of this type.  The topic is of interest to many members because it is not core to their day to day business, but they recognize the importance that it plays now and into the future and to learn it from someone who has worked in the logistics industry makes the topic feel more approachable.

One attendee said, “Scott Case’s presentation in Seattle was fun and full of good information. His expert storytelling illustrated how our online presence can be the glue that keeps us connected and relevant with our clients and members outside of the monthly or yearly meetings. And in an age of tech when people ‘Google’ everything it is so important to be in charge of the image that is out there.”
