The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Sri Lanka required a keynote speaker for an international conference in 2013 with a deep understanding of the industry as well as marketing and social media.
In June, 2013, Scott was invited to be the keynote speaker for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Sri Lanka’s annual conference held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
“I particularly liked the part that covered how corporates should engage in social media and how they could use tools to get visibility in the marketplace,” said Chaminda Gunasekera, Vice President, Commercial, for Freight Links, a Sri Lanka freight forwarder. “I thought you demonstrated that very professionally and proved your strengths in the area.”
Speaking before an international audience from Europe, Africa, Sri Lanka, Asia and the United States, Scott laid out his vision of the current state of the logistics industry and what he saw as the major future drivers were in the sector.
